AgustaWestland has named FAASA Aviación of Spain as an authorized service center for AW119 helicopters. FAASA has taken delivery of 12 AW119s to date and has eight more on order. The approval gives the operator the authority to service its own helicopters and offer support to other AW119 operators in Spain. FAASA provides helicopters and airplanes for fire fighting throughout Europe and was one of the first to place the single-engine AW119Ke into service. The company has flown thousands of missions with the AW119. More than 130 AW119s have been ordered to date by almost 90 customers in 30 countries, according to AgustaWestland.
