A Sikorsky Aircraft S-300CBi slated for delivery to Olive Branch, Miss.-based AirVenture Flight Center is on display here at Heli-Expo’09 (Booth No. 1740). The manufacturer held a delivery ceremony Sunday morning to mark the event. The S-300CBi (S/N 0352) is AirVenture’s “first venture into the helicopter marketplace,” according to Dave Horton, general manager of Sikorsky’s light helicopter division. The delivery is not the first of that model, but it coincided with Heli-Expo’09, Horton said. AirVenture president Ken Hammerton (pictured here with daughter Andrea) said he selected the S-300CBi because it is “hands down” the best model for flight training and said he is “excited about the new venture and initial entry into the helicopter industry.”
