Heli-Expo 2011: Air Methods Acquires United Rotorcraft Solutions

Denver-based Air Methods Corp. (Booth No. 856), which claims the title of “largest air medical transportation company in the world,” announced yesterday the acquisition by its Products Division of United Rotorcraft Solutions.

United Rotorcraft is a full-service helicopter and fixed-wing MRO and interior completions center based in Decatur, Texas, where it has a staff of 43 and two hangars totaling 54,000 sq ft. According Air Methods, United Rotorcraft will continue to operate as a stand-alone facility serving its established customers, while developing new ones.

“The new relationship” added Air Methods, “will provide United Rotorcraft with additional financial resources and engineering support to facilitate a solid growth trajectory.”
