Barfield, a Sabena Technics company (Booth No. 7603), is celebrating the renewal of its Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) certification at Heli-Expo 2014. Barfield offers FAA- and EASA-certified AOG maintenance services to customers in North, South and Central America and the Caribbean. Barfield is also a manufacturer of air-data/pitot-static testers, RVSM air-data testers, APU testers, cable tensiometer testers, fuel quantity testers, pressure testers, nav/com and transponder test sets, pitot/static adapters and turbine temperature testers.

In Brazil, ANAC is responsible for regulating safety and security matters related to civil aircraft and their components, personnel licensing, operations and airports. Barfield initially received the ANAC certification in 2010 in an effort to expand into what the company perceived as a growing market in Brazilian aviation. The Brazilian civil aircraft fleet is one of the largest around the world, and the executive helicopters fleet is the second largest, with most of them operating in its largest city, São Paulo. The re-certification has been renewed through October 2015. “With this ANAC certification, Barfield keeps the momentum on continuing to focus on its customers’ needs and growth opportunities,” said Frederic Denise, Barfield’s CEO.
