Swiss group Ruag Aerospace is here at EBACE (Booth No. 1470) hot on the heels of its purchase of Pilatus Aircraft’s (Booth No. 700) TSA Transairco subsidiary in early April. The sale, the price of which was undisclosed, is retroactive to January 1.
The new owner said it intends to retain all 115 of Transairco’s employees and the management team headed by CEO Jason Mulcock.

California company plans to expand mX Operation As FBOs go, 10-year-old Jet Source, of Carlsbad, Calif., is fairly young. (Nonetheless, the FBO ranked 35th in AIN’s annual FBO survey.) Located on Palomar-McClellan Airport, it offers an executive terminal and provides maintenance, avionics, ramp service, fuel sales, aircraft charter, management and aircraft sales/acquisition.
Blackhawk Modification recently announced the addition of Banyan Air Service of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to its global distributor network of authorized engine upgrade centers.
Blackhawk Modifications specializes in P&WC PT6A turboprop upgrades. The company upgrades the 90- and 200-series King Airs, as well as the Conquest I and Cheyennes. Based in Waco, Texas, Blackhawk has upgraded more than 100 turboprops since 2000.
Aviall has reached an agreement to acquire certain assets of Sisu Services, a supplier of aircraft brake and wheel services, parts and technical information. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Sisu Services, based in Crown Point, Ind., has begun to operate as an independent business division of Aviall Product Repair Services. Founded in 1985, the company has 16 employees and serves customers in 42 states.
The Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA), which represents nearly 700 members of the international aviation maintenance and alteration community, recently published the results of its 2007 member survey.
The survey highlighted the success and subsequent growing needs of the industry, as international contract maintenance stations continue to expand their role of ensuring safety and efficiency in the skies.
Perkins Aircraft Windows signed an agreement with CRS Jet Spares for that company to stock and distribute Perkins-manufactured windows and windshields. Airframes to be supported under the terms of the contract include the Beechjet, Challenger, Citation, Falcon, Gulfstream, Hawker and Learjet.
