Raisbeck Engineering has entered an agreement with Atlantic Aero authorizing the Greensboro, N.C. company to promote, purchase and install Raisbeck’s STC kits.

The FAA has awarded Executive Jet Management (EJM) its Diamond Award for excellence in maintenance, safety and human factors training for the 13th straight year. The company received the award for having 25 percent or more of its maintenance technicians qualify for an individual training award in any given year.
The more than 400 maintenance professionals working for Flight Options will be covered by the FAA’s Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), according to a recently signed memorandum of understanding (MOU). In March 2006, Flight Options became the first fractional provider to establish ASAP for its pilots. ASAP is a voluntary reporting program that provides a mechanism for company personnel to identify potential safety hazards.
Stockholders approved the merger of White Plains, N.Y.-based K&F Industries Holdings, makers of aircraft brake and fuel components, and avionics manufacturer Meggitt-USA of Simi Valley, Calif., last month. Soon after the announcement, K&F said the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division requested more information about the merger.
Dassault revealed a new Falcon 2000 with winglets at EBACE. The new 2000LX, which is based on the company’s popular 2000EX, will provide 200 nm more range than its sibling. According to Aviation Partners chairman and CEO Joe Clark, whose company will be providing the blended winglets, the aircraft will be able to fly 4,000 nm at Mach 0.80 at 41,000 feet.

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) issued a call to action last week related to maintenance issues for charter operators. The association wants members to complete a survey related to the issue of FAR Part 135 maintenance of aircraft with more than nine versus nine or fewer seats.

Based in St-Louis, Mo., Midcoast Aviation, is a full-service aircraft maintenance, modification and completions provider, including avionics and exterior paint services.
