Jet Aviation continues restructuring
Jet Aviation of Teterboro, N.J., has taken the opportunity at NBAA to introduce the Red Dress Privileged Travel card, a debit card for use with Jet Aviation’s charter services. A portion of sales through the program will benefit WomenHeart, the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease.
On its business side, the company has appointed a new senior vice president and general manager, Thomas Rimmi, for its Zurich maintenance operation and Andre Wall as COO for Europe, the Middle and Far East, Asia and South America. Norbert Ehrich will assume the position of senior v-p and general manager for Jet Aviation’s U.S. FBOs in Bedford, Dallas, Palm Beach and St. Louis. Jim Zavros has been named v-p, satellite MRO operations for Midcoast Aviation, a Jet Aviation affiliate.
Newly acquired Midcoast has merged four of Jet Aviation’s MRO divisions in Bedford, Mass.; Chicago, Ill.; Palm Beach, Fla.; and Teterboro, N.J., into Midcoast Aviation, while Midcoast’s St. Louis Downtown Airport (CPS) facility is now operated by Jet Aviation. The St. Louis FBO has added amenities, including guest concierge, a full-service restaurant and bar, new passenger lounge, wireless Internet, private business areas for guests, a pilot lounge and sleep room.
In Dallas, Jet Aviation sold its MRO business to Premier Air Center/West Star Aviation effective November 1 but will continue to provide FBO services at Love Field. Palm Beach will retain its status as a Dassault Falcon Jet service center.
Jet Aviation Basel (Switzerland) will invest CHF34.0 million ($26.7 million) to expand hangar, shop and ramp space and create close to 400 new jobs within the next 18 months.
