Brazilian Buys First New PC-12
Pilatus has sold its first $3.35 million Next Generation PC-12 to a Brazilian operator.
The Next Generation PC-12 is equipped with several upgrades including the all-glass Honeywell Primus Apex flight deck, a more powerful Pratt & Whitney PT6A-67P engine and new electrical and environmental systems with dual-zone cabin/cockpit controls. Maximum cruise speed is increased an estimated 10 to 13 knots for a top speed of 280 ktas. Climb rate increases to 1,900 fpm, a 300-fpm increase. Certification is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2007.
Pilatus selected BMW Group DesignworksUSA to redesign the cockpit. The PC-12 is supported in Brazil by OceanAir Taxi Aereo.
