Amstat of Tinton Falls, N.J., and Conklin & de Decker, based in Orleans, Mass., announced a partnership in which Conklin & de Decker will become the sole source of aircraft and performance and operating cost data within the Amstat fixed-wing and helicopter database services.

The partnering “will give our customers added opportunities to utilize our services to generate business,” said Tom Benson, executive vice president of Amstat (Booth No. 1101).

“We are committed to providing Amstat’s customers with the highest quality cost and performance data available,” said Bill de Decker of Conklin & de Decker.
Separately, the associates of Conklin & de Decker (Booth No. 1241), in coordination with NBAA, announced the establishment of the $5,000 Alan Conklin Aviation Management Scholarship, to be awarded to an aviation student in an aviation management program at a University Aviation Association affiliated college.

Conklin, who died last November, was cofounder with de Decker of the firm that bears their names. Said de Decker, “It is fitting that the scholarship be administered by NBAA as Al was very active in the organization.

He was a pioneer in our business and believed strongly that good management is a vital part of the success of business aviation.”

The recipient of the first Alan Conklin Aviation Management Scholarship will be announced at next year’s NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention in Orlando. Deadline for receipt of award applications is Aug. 1, 2008.
