Innotech Aviation (Booth No. 8039) has begun construction of a 41,000-sq-ft, two-bay paint facility, scheduled to be up and running by the first quarter of next year. The hangar, on Montreal’s Pierre Trudeau International (Dorval) Airport, will be large enough to accept business aircraft such as the Bombardier Global XRS, for which Innotech has been a preferred completion center since 2005. “It is designed to ventilate and spray with a nose-to-tail cross-draft,” explained Rob Brooks, v-p and general manager. “This will provide a cleaner spray application. Completely environmentally friendly, and with state-of-the-art filters and an independent waste-water cleaning system, the facility will have variable-speed airflow– eliminating the need to pressurize the paint bay–and the capability to apply paint electrostatically. The end result will be the highest quality paint application in our industry.”
