Support specialists team up
Hamburg, Germany-based maintenance, repair and overhaul, and business jet completion provider Lufthansa Technik yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with flight support and ground handling specialist Air Routing International of Houston for mutual customer support.
The memorandum calls for Lufthansa Technik to provide technical support for customers of both companies, including troubleshooting, logistics for spare and exchange parts and the dispatch of action teams. Air Routing will provide operational support–flight planning, airplane and passenger handling, and FBO liaison–for Lufthansa Technik’s VIP customers. All initial contacts will be routed through a Lufthansa Technik call center.
An extension of the initial MOU can be expected. Tim Maystrik, v-p of marketing and sales for Air Routing, said at the signing at the Lufthansa booth (No. 2341) that the cooperative effort is “a good start to offer additional services.
“We have found a competent and highly capable partner for providing technical services to Air Routing’s customers.”
