Arinc (Booth No. 2273) is lowering the price for its Arinc Direct business aviation service for operators of jets and turboprops weighing less than 12,500 pounds. Arinc Direct–which offers an array of flight support services such as flight planning and weather, flight following, contract fuel, international trip support and datacom–normally costs $10,500 per year, but it has reduced this price by more than 90 percent to $1,500 for those flying very light jets, as well as some turboprops and light jets.
While light business aircraft operators will have full online access to Arinc Direct, the highly discounted service works on a “self-service” model, according to an Arinc senior executive. Notably, this means that these operators will incur a $25 charge for every telephone call they make to get Arinc Direct services instead of using the online system to get the same information.
