Rosen Showcases Visor Rail iPad Mount at NBAA 2013
The Rosen iPad Mount from Rosen Sunvisor Systems (Booth No. C7913) is making its NBAA debut here at the NBAA 2013. The system clamps on any visor monorail system 5/16” or smaller, allowing pilots to position iPads running aviation navigation apps for easy viewing above the glare shield.
“Everyone wants an iPad mount. We’re adjusting to demand,” said Scott Fowler, director of sales and marketing for the Eugene, Ore.-based company.
The mount includes an arm that attaches to the visor rail on one end and a patented three-axis clamp on the other end, which attaches to a purpose-built sleeve that holds the iPad. The mount’s ability to slide from side to side, and backward and forward on the rail, combined with the three-axis clamp, allows the iPad to be put in virtually any position or angle.
The line of mounts accommodates iPads from the mini to the full-size iPads, and the arms come in two lengths, with a three-quarter-inch difference. Retail price of the systems are $185, with free shipping. Here at the convention, the company is offering the units at the show special rate of $165.
