NBAA’s was one of more than 170 comments filed (mostly in support) to the Securities and Exchange Commission rulemaking proposal to require more detailed reporting of top executive compensation, including such perks as personal use of corporate aircraft.

Roy Horridge, owner and operator of grounded Houston-based Air Ambulance by B&C Flight Management, and William Sexton, a former officer with the company and aircraft mechanic, have been indicted for aircraft parts fraud and bank fraud. U.S. Attorney Don DeGabrielle last Friday unsealed a 12-count indictment against Horridge, 72, and Sexton, 65. Both men were arrested.

During an investor conference yesterday, Embraer senior v-p of executive jets Luis Carlos Affonso predicted that his company is positioned to benefit from the expected growth in the business aviation market. Last year 749 business jets were delivered, he said, and by 2015 that number is forecast to be 1,100, about one-quarter of which will be very light jets.
