The City of Roseville Employees’ Retirement System has filed a class-action complaint “on behalf of itself and all others similarly situated” alleging that investors in Textron shares were misled by statements about backlogs at Cessna Aircraft. Plaintiffs would have purchased Textron shares between July 17, 2007, and Jan. 29, 2009.

At the General Aviation Jobs for Arkansas Forum held last week at a hangar at Dassault Falcon’s facility at Little Rock National Airport, politicians joined officials from Dassault and Hawker Beechcraft, about 100 community leaders and more than 500 Dassault and Hawker Beechcraft employees to focus on general aviation’s contributions to the Arkansas economy.

The August 13 to 15 Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (Labace) featured 110 exhibitors, 22 more than in 2008, and more than 60 aircraft in the static display, compared with 48 the previous year, underscoring evidence that the economies in Latin America, and Brazil’s in particular, appear stable and even growing.

Robert Pinkas, Tab Keplinger and Brantley Capital Management (BCM) have been charged “with securities fraud for overvaluing assets in an investment portfolio they manage in order to generate higher investment advisory fees,” according to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
