Arcadia Aviation, which is developing corporate aviation hangar facilities at Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport (MRB) in Martinsburg, W.Va., has acquired the assets of Woodstock Aircraft Services at Sullivan County International Airport (MSV) in Monticello, N.Y.

To streamline the application process for air traffic controllers, the FAA has created consolidated screening and testing centers to provide “one-stop shopping” for prospective employees. According to the agency, consolidating security clearances, medical screenings and fingerprinting allows it to slash weeks off the application process.

Yesterday, the newly formed Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) concluded its inaugural Air Charter Safety Symposium, which was held at the NTSB Training Center in Ashburn, Va. The goal was to host 50 to 60 attendees, according to ACSF chairman and Priester Aviation chairman and CEO Charlie Priester, but more than 110 attendees filled the auditorium at the NTSB center.

Dassault Aviation chairman and CEO Charles Edelstenne today released last year’s sales and financial results for the French aircraft manufacturer. For the third consecutive year, Dassault set a record for business jet sales, with firm orders for 212 Falcons. “The results are a tremendous statement to the benefits of business aviation, which are only now being understood in some areas of the world,” said Edelstenne.

Eclipse Aviation and its investor/European distributor, Etirc Aviation, yesterday said the team is making progress toward establishing an Eclipse 500 manufacturing facility in Russia, a development that was announced last month when Etirc disclosed it was providing more than $100 million for the very light jet program.
