Online charter portal Avinode is unveiling its new aircraft charter search engine at this week’s NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers conference in San Antonio. The company says its new 2.0 system will make it easier for charter brokers and operators to put together the most cost-efficient routes by allowing them to search more effectively for real-time aircraft availability and pricing.

In a progress report issued yesterday for the Legacy 450 and 500 programs, Embraer said production of the Legacy 500’s first parts has begun at suppliers’ facilities. The nose and main landing-gear forgings arrived at Heroux-Devtek in Canada and were machined in the fall.
Hawker Beechcraft senior vice president of sales Brad Hatt is leaving the company as of February 8, according to a letter sent to employees last Thursday by executive vice president Shawn Vick. Hatt was president and general manager of the Hawker business, then in March 2006 became president of global commercial sales and later president of commercial aircraft. Last June he became senior v-p of sales.
Thom Harrow, former president of Volo Aviation, last year formed a new company called Airport Property Partners (APP) and in December purchased four Volo FBOs from Merrill Lynch. The four FBOs–in Fort Pierce and Sarasota, Fla.; Manassas, Va.; and Hayward, Calif.–will be rebranded as APP Jet Centers. Harrow expects new signage for the facilities to be in place by the end of next month.
Pilatus today reported that 2009 was a record-breaking year for PC-12 deliveries, bucking the downward trend seen at most business aircraft manufacturers. The Swiss company delivered 100 PC-12 NG turboprop singles last year, surpassing delivery totals for any production year since the first PC-12 was shipped in 1994.
