About 30 people attended an Embraer Phenom owners and operators fly-in this past weekend in Naples, Fla., with nine owners flying their Phenom 100s into Naples Municipal Airport. Attendees also included those who have yet to take delivery of their Phenom 100 or 300.

NBAA yesterday released a new white paper, “Ten Critical Strategies for Long-Term Fuel Savings,” that provides business aircraft operators with steps for saving money on aircraft fuel bills, both in the short term and long term. The white paper is free to association members and nonmembers alike.
The Transportation Security Administration has completed the revision of the large aircraft security program (LASP) and the legislation is about to move to the Department of Homeland Security and Office of Management and Budget for review, according to Brian Delauter, the TSA’s general manager for general aviation.
An evidentiary hearing was scheduled today to determine the winner of an auction held last Friday for the assets of bankrupt Epic Air and its sister companies. Bidders were China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Co. (CAIGAC), Harlow Aerostructures and LT Builders Group. CAIGAC’s all-cash bid of $4.3 million was highest, followed by Harlow’s bid of $4 million.
While UBS Investment Research’s March business jet index reflects a stable market, other indictors showed that the business aviation market recovery has stalled a bit. According to a market report released yesterday by the investment firm, pre-owned business jet inventories were roughly unchanged in February, following declines in each of the prior six months.
