A spokesman for AgustaWestland (AW) told AIN that the company is still in the hunt for the U.S. VXX Presidential helicopter replacement program, commonly known as Marine One. Pier Francesco Guarguaglini, the chairman and CEO of AW parent company Finmeccanica, suggested that AW could partner with Boeing and L-3 for the contract.

Chevron Global Aviation, which operates five oil refineries, “will withdraw from marketing Chevron- and Texaco-branded aviation fuels in 27 states [approximately 200 locations],” the company said in a statement issued last week.

The first-quarter numbers from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) released yesterday show an overall 15-percent drop in general aviation aircraft deliveries compared with the previous year–from 459 to 390 aircraft. However, billings increased 7.1 percent to $4.64 billion, thanks largely to international deliveries of large-cabin, long-range business jets.
