NBAA’s GA Desk is warning aircraft operators flying on the U.S. East Coast this week to review TFR notams carefully. A moving 10-nm TFR is following President Obama along a bus tour through the East Coast until later tomorrow.

The FAA broke ground yesterday on a new $69 million air traffic control tower and Tracon facility at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, replacing the tower that has served the airport since 1988.

Earlier this month Landmark Aviation began operations at the former Signature Flight Support FBO at Tampa (Fla.) International Airport. The facility includes 44,500 sq ft of hangar space, in addition to a passenger lobby, pilot lounge, executive conference room, snooze room and flight planning center. Services include fueling, ground handling, concierge and hangar and office rentals.

The Central Europe Private Aviation Association (CEPA) will hold its second annual conference in the Czech capital Prague on December 1 and 2. Barrington Irving, founder of Experience Aviation, will use a donated Embraer Phenom 100 light jet as a flying classroom to encourage students to pursue education in science, technology, engineering and math (Stem). Entrepreneur and philanthropist Fabio Alexander is providing the jet, with “continuing support” covered by Embraer, for Experience Aviation’s “Journey for Knowledge” program.

Helicopter and business aircraft leasing firm Milestone Aviation announced at the Air Medical Transport Conference yesterday that it would purchase five new Eurocopter EC130B4 helicopters. The order is valued at $17 million, with deliveries slated for the second half of next year.
