Embraer has expanded on its North American Phenom 100 support system, in service since last December. The Customer Support Contact Center, located at Embraer’s headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil, now offers operational, technical and maintenance support for all of Embraer’s executive jets.

Wichita’s new National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT), still under construction, is offering nondestructive testing (NDT) courses this fall. Through a cooperative effort between Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research and Wichita Area Technical College (WATC), NCAT will offer a series of 11 NDT courses at WATC’s Comotara Center campus.
A Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin (SAIB NE-09-48) has been issued regarding propellers, or propeller component parts, repaired, inspected or overhauled by Western Aircraft Propeller Service of Troutdale, Ore. It is based on field service difficulty reports concerning two Hartzell propellers installed on a Hawker Beechcraft Baron E55.
A Falcon operator filed a complaint with the FAA against Duncan Aviation Battle Creek citing the unauthorized use of Krylon 1401 paint on the airplane’s landing gear. The operator also forwarded a copy of the FAA’s response to AIN.
