Dart Helicopter Services (DHS), a producer and distributor of more than 3,000 certified helicopter accessories, has entered into an exclusive agreement with Hawker Pacific to establish a stronger DHS presence in the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Hawker Pacific operates facilities in several Asian and Australian locations; Auckland, New Zealand; and Dubai, UAE.

GE Aviation is offering an on-wing engine upgrade program for certain configurations of the CF34-3A2 that will allow the engines to go from a hard-time maintenance interval to an on-condition maintenance schedule. The company says the upgraded engines will have longer time on wing and greatly reduced maintenance costs, with no scheduled hot-section inspections or overhauls.

Changes to the FAR Part 21 manufacturing rule published last October 16 are slated to go into effect on April 16 next year, including a modification to the standards for manufacturing. Currently, only parts specifically manufactured for installation in type-certified aircraft are regulated by the FAA, but the changes would expand the parts covered.
