The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) has commented on a set of proposed regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that seek to regulate greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act, specifically targeting emissions by general aviation aircraft.

The first private aircraft hangar certified to the platinum level by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system will be unveiled next Tuesday at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, Calif. The hangar belongs to Avjet, a charter/management firm that also specializes in sales and acquisitions.

Brazilian airline TAM’s Technological Center in San Carlos, Brazil, has received EASA 145 approval to maintain the Airbus A321 and A330. TAM Technological Center is now certified to perform maintenance on the Airbus line through the A330 as well as on the Fokker 100. Brazil’s government aeronautical materials department also has approved TAM Technological Center to maintain the presidential Airbus ACJ.

Innotech-Execaire Aviation Group vice president and general manager Kenneth Dandy resigned after 44 years with the Montreal-based company. In his last position, Dandy was responsible for the company’s FBO operations, technical services and marketing and sales efforts in western Canada. But don’t call me retired, he says.
