Gulfstream Aerospace has named Florian “Flo” Thiele senior regional sales manager, product support sales, for parts of Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Thiele reports to Jeff Hill, director of international product support sales.

BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul Group (ERO) is creating centers of excellence (COE) at each of its major repair and overhaul facilities in the U.S. “Combining a given product family at one central location will enable us to maximize the efficiency of our labor force and our supply chain,” said group president Hugh McElroy.
Aftermarket service and support provider Southwind Aviation has been named an authorized service center by Goodrich Engine Control and Electrical Power Systems for various DC power generation and distribution systems products.
ExecuJet Australia has been named by Embraer as the exclusive authorized executive jet service provider in Australia. ExecuJet last month began offering warranty, line and heavy maintenance services to all of Embraer’s Legacy 600 customers. The agreement also calls for ExecuJet to begin offering support to Phenom customers sometime this year.
Cessna’s fifth Citation mobile service unit (MSU) and two-technician crew starts service this week, based at Sheltair Aviation at Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale International Airport. “Customer response to the introduction of our new service initiatives through ServiceDirect has been superb, particularly for the mobile service units,” said Mark Paolucci, Cessna senior vice president for customer service.
