Lufthansa Technik Aero Alzey (LTAA) and Air Mauritius have signed an exclusive agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul services of the airline’s ATR fleet powered by the P&WC PW127. The ATRs are used mainly to connect Mauritius with regional islands Rodrigues and Reunion.

Aerostar Ventures Singapore has launched an AOG desk for Indian customers. “Service and response time is slow for operators in India,” director and CEO Praveen Srivastava told AIN. “We intend to reach out aggressively to India, initially from our Singapore location.
In 2006 Vitesse purchased TXI Aviation on Dallas Love Field as an expansion of sales and maintenance support operations for its national jet shared ownership program. “The downturn in the economy, and some expansion plans that didn’t materialize, resulted in [Vitesse] divesting itself of the operation,” David Peaper, general manager of Vitesse Aviation, told AIN.
Air Services’ mobile recovery team recovered an Embraer 145 after it slid off a runway in Canada. “The work scope of this recovery was one of the largest our organization has taken on,” Stephen Maiden, president of Air Services, told AIN.
The Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA) has set March 31 through April 2 as the dates for its annual repair symposium at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Pentagon City, Va. The agenda and registration for the symposium, which also includes a Legislative Day on Capitol Hill, are available on the organization’s Web site.
