With an eye toward expanding in the regional aircraft maintenance market, AAR Aircraft Services is exploring adding a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility in the Salina, Kan. area.

Berkley Accident and Health has set up Encap Business Aviation Captive to create “an insurance brokerage program specifically for business aviation employers that employ between ten and 1,000 employees,” Joe Clifton, director of JP Benefits Connection, told AIN. The program offers medical and prescription coverage.

Professional Aviation Associates, which claims to be the largest independent parts and rotable supplier for the Beech King Air and Beech 1900, has plans to enter the helicopter market, “particularly [for] the AS350, in a big way,” according to president Glenn MacDonald.

Jet Aviation has made several key personnel changes. Johannes Turzer, formerly v-p and general manager at Jet Aviation Dusseldorf, is now v-p and accountable manager of maintenance services at Jet Aviation Basel. Sebastian Groeger, v-p and general manager at Jet Aviation Singapore, will succeed Turzer at Dusseldorf. Philippe Crevier has moved into the v-p and general manager spot at Jet Aviation Singapore.
