Elliott Aviation announced plans to add 50 new jobs and invest $1.8 million over the next two years for improvements at its Quad City International Airport location in Moline, Ill. Currently, Elliott Aviation has 240 full-time employees; with the planned expansion, the company anticipates growing to nearly 300 employees in the next two years.

TAG Aviation can now help its aircraft maintenance clients benefit from a supplemental type certificate that the European Aviation Safety Agency has granted for installation of high-Mach blended winglets for the Falcon 2000/2000EX and 900. TAG installs the winglets, made by Aviation Partners, at its Geneva Airport facility.
Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services North America has been named a Eurocopter service center for the AS332 Super Puma. The certification includes O&I and I+ airframe servicing and allows Vector to perform major inspections, upgrades and retrofits.
Amac Aerospace has received continuing airworthiness management organization (Camo) certification from the United Arab Emirates’ General Civil Aviation Authority for its Basel, Switzerland cabin completion and maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities.
The approval allows Amac to offer full Camo services on all UAE-registered aircraft. This includes keeping track of and supervising maintenance checks and following up on and implementing regulatory requirements. Amac is only the second company outside the UAE to be granted Camo certification.
Spectro and its associated company, Jet-Care, have been named approved suppliers for debris and oil analysis services for all AgustaWestland AW139s. Spectro and Jet-Care use scanning electron microscopes to examine debris recovered from oil samples, filters and chip detectors. Identifying the particle size and composition of metallic and non-metallic debris can help to flag the components responsible for the debris for replacement before they fail.
Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS) has signed a 10-year agreement with Bristow Group for continued support of its S-92 fleet. Valued at more than $840 million, the agreement is a renewal of a current contract that is expiring after a seven-year term. Available to worldwide commercial and military operators of the S-76, S-92 and S-70, Sikorsky’s “total assurance program” covers up to 98 percent of the cost of parts replacement for the airframe, drive train, gearboxes, avionics and consumables.
Sharp Details is offering its aircraft cleaning and support services at Landmark Aviation’s Teterboro, N.J. facility and in south Florida at Opa-Locka Executive, Kendall-Tamiami Executive, Miami International, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale Executive, Boca Raton and Palm Beach International. For based, transient and fractional operators, the company offers interior and exterior turn cleaning, interior detailing, leather and carpet cleaning, and stain removal, in addition to aircraft washing, waxing, IE2000 polymer paint protection and bright-work polishing.
Southeast Turbines has completed renovating its 10,000-sq-ft facility at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. The FAA-certified repair station specializes in the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, PT6T and JT15D. Southeast Turbines’ capabilities include on-wing hot-section inspections, compressor-turbine disk reblade, true and balance, small exit duct rework to include “zero grind” hot-section installations, unscheduled power section repairs, fuel nozzle cleaning/recertification and bleed valve overhaul.
National Airways of Johannesburg, South Africa, has been named a FlightSafety Maintenance Training Center for Pratt & Whitney Canada engines. FSI will provide courseware and Matrix training equipment, including a graphical flight-deck simulator, desktop simulator for classroom instruction, training engines and specialty tools. A spokesman for FSI told AIN, “The training will be provided by local instructors who will be trained by FlightSafety.
