The damaged-aircraft repair team (Dart) of Cleveland, Ohio-based Constant Aviation completed its third EMB-135 (Legacy 600/650) wing replacement. Dart consists of maintenance, structural, engineering and avionics technicians poised to deploy to any location within 24 hours. To date it has completed three Legacy 600 wing replacements, four EMB-135 nose replacements and numerous structural jobs in the field.

Primus Aircraft Management Solutions, provider of Camos, asset and airworthiness review services, launched a new sister company, Primus Logistics. “The objective is to support operators locating spare parts in AOG situations and source or deliver such parts to the aircraft in the quickest way possible,” said Stephan Krainer, general manager of Primus.
Jet Aviation Dubai has been authorized to provide base and line maintenance for the Boeing 737 700/800, Embraer 135/145, Falcon 900EX EASy, Gulfstream IV/V/450 and Hawker 800/900 in addition to its existing approval for Falcon 7X/2000 line maintenance. Jet Aviation Dubai’s maintenance and FBO location was established in May 2005 as a joint venture company with the AL Mulla Group.
The facility has 45,192 sq ft of hangar space, a workshop area of 10,760 sq ft, and a two-story, 11,300-sq-ft FBO building.
Brazilian airframer Embraer has set two more dates for Embraer executive operator conferences (EEOC) following a European conference held in Paris last month. The North American EEOC is scheduled for May 7 to 9 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and will cover the Legacy series. The South American conference, slated for Atibaia, São Paulo, Brazil on May 14 and 15, will feature both the Phenom and Legacy series.
Lufthansa Technik is offering a new product bundle for life-cycle support of large private and business aircraft. The service packages include access to a pool of highly qualified engineers and mechanics, worldwide material support through the Lufthansa Technik logistics network, and assured support in case of AOG incidents and other emergencies.
Jet Support Services (JSSI) launched the MyJSSI Mobile App for clients with Apple or Android devices. It streamlines the process for submitting monthly hours and allows customers to manage contracts, make payments and update contact information from their mobile devices. MyJSSI also allows JSSI to push notifications to its customers. New features include an intuitive navigational design, a program-selection tool that provides specific program information by aircraft type, Google map integration, interactive media and a FAQ section.
Beechcraft has appointed Flying Colours of Ontario, Canada, an authorized service center (ASC) for the King Air, Baron and Bonanza. The new status allows the Peterborough facility to offer maintenance, modifications, refurbishment and paint under the terms of the ASC. Flying Colours has a long affiliation with Beechcraft dating back to the early 1980s and the Beech 99. The facility employs 18 technicians.
Pattonair has moved into a new 24,000-sq-ft distribution center in Indianapolis in support of growth related to its Rolls-Royce North America contract. The AmeriPlex-Indianapolis Business Park is five miles from Indianapolis International Airport. During the initial implementation of the contract in 2011 Pattonair established an interim building to begin operations. Pattonair provides kitting, line feed, distribution, aftermarket and MRO, consultancy, reverse logistics, warehouse management and supplier management.
Sabreliner’s board of directors has announced the appointment of Susan Aselage as president. Aselage additionally serves as vice chairman and vice president, secretary and assistant treasurer. She has been with Sabreliner since its inception in 1983, and was the company’s second employee. Before her appointment as president, her responsibilities included managing the corporation’s risk-insurance program and maintenance of all corporate records.
The FAA has issued a final rule superseding an existing airworthiness directive (AD) for all Pilatus PC-12s, PC-12/45s, PC-12/47s and PC-12/47Es. Since the issuance of AD 2009-14-13 Pilatus has issued revisions to the limitations section of the airplane maintenance manual to include an inspection of the wing main spar fastener holes at rib six for cracks. The action was prompted by a crack found on one wing, and a more restrictive airworthiness limitation was introduced in that manual.
