Pratt & Whitney has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Comac, the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, for cooperation on leadership training. The programs, conducted by the Pratt & Whitney Customer Training Center in collaboration with Hamilton Sundstrand and Sikorsky, provide targeted curricula for senior executives, mid-level managers and high-potential employees.
The Qatar CAA has granted Part 145 certification to the maintenance division of Rizon Jet, a Middle East and UK-based business aviation group headquartered in Doha, Qatar. The Doha line maintenance and repair station will be focusing on its approvals for the Challenger 604/605 and Hawker 900XP. It also provides support on wheels, tires and batteries.
Cessna Aircraft has positioned its 12th U.S.-based mobile service unit (MSU) at Preferred Jet Center on Cobb County Airport-McCollum Field near Atlanta. It is tasked with serving Citation customers primarily in central and northern Georgia, southeastern Tennessee and northeastern Alabama.
As part of its $4.5 million development project at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (FTW), Texas Jet is nearing completion of a 30,000-sq-ft hangar it has leased to Trimec Aviation. “With our growing Astra/G100 customer base, we have outgrown the facility we’ve been in for 25 years,” said Trimec president John Dunn. “The new hangar will also provide us with the option to move into Galaxy/G200 maintenance.
