BLR Aerospace has named Heritage Aviation of Burlington, Vt., an authorized dealer for its King Air winglets. Heritage Aviation, a 79,000-sq-ft green FBO with maintenance and avionics capabilities, joins a global network of 21 dealers with service facilities in 35 locations.

HNA Group of China and Bravia Capital of New York will acquire a majority stake in myTechnic. According to Daglar Cizmeci, CFO, board member and investor in myTechnic Aircraft MRO Services, the company is the first lean (zero waste) greenfield maintenance, repair and overhaul center in the world.

Soloy Aviation Solutions, which has historically focused on helicopter and fixed-wing engine product development, has added an avionics business based on the need to integrate avionics with the engine system. “We essentially had to start our own avionics business to be able to meet our customers’ needs,” David Stauffer, Soloy Aviation Solutions’ CEO, told AIN.

The FAA has issued a final rule for an Airworthiness Directive for the Embraer Phenom 100 S/N 50000005 through 50000118, 50000120, 50000122 through 50000126, 50000128, and 50000131, certified in any category. The AD says it is prompted by failures of the flow control shutoff valve in the closed position.
