The U.S. Air Force has selected the EFB-Pro performance-calculating iPhone app for pilots of its fleet of C-21A Learjet 35As. Developed by Cavu Companies, EFB-Pro has long been available as Windows PC software and now runs on Apple’s iPhone and iPad without needing an Internet connection.

The board of directors of Indianapolis-based Comlux Aviation Services has named Tony Bailey as CEO. He began his career in 1983 as an F-4 Phantom electrician in the U.S. Marine Corps and went on to garner experience as a CEO, general manager, director of avionics and engineering and director of maintenance with various industry organizations.
GE Aviation and Iberia Maintenance have signed an agreement that will provide Iberia with OEM technical support for its maintenance and repair services on CF34-8C/E engines. The agreement expands Iberia’s current overhaul capability for the CF34 engine and licenses GE’s engine maintenance technology.

Glenwood, Minn.-based Tanis Aircraft Products has partnered with Bruce’s Custom Covers to fabricate Tanis-brand insulated aircraft covers to protect aircraft in harsh and demanding winter conditions. Tanis is best known for providing aircraft preheat systems to the global aviation industry and Bruce’s Custom Covers for supplying aircraft covers.
Eurocopter has entered into an agreement with Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL) as part of the airframer’s continuing effort to strengthen its profile and customer support services in the United Arab Emirates. The move is aimed specifically at enhancing the company’s capability to serve the UAE Armed Forces.

StandardAero has received third-party certification for its environmental-management system (EMS) used at its 13 primary facilities in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Singapore and Australia. The EMS certification is in accordance with ISO 14001:2004 standard for environmental management systems.
