Under a partnership agreement signed with Air Data, Innotech Aviation’s Montreal completion center will install Air Data JetAir bio-protection systems (BPS) on Bombardier Global Expresses. The JetAir BPS uses “cold plasma ionic interaction” technology, which catches and inactivates air contaminants and reduces “harmful and annoying gases against which traditional filters have no effect,” according to Innotech.

By August 2010, Duncan Aviation will open its third full-service business aviation maintenance facility–at Provo Municipal Airport in Utah. The new facility will offer maintenance services similar to those available at Duncan’s locations in Lincoln, Neb., and Battle Creek, Mich., including heavy maintenance and modifications on Falcons, Challengers, Learjets, Hawkers, Citations, Embraers and Gulfstreams, according to a spokeswoman.

Cessna Aircraft’s new service center in Mesa, Ariz., will open in January, replacing the company’s facility in Long Beach, Calif. Cessna made the move to expand its Western U.S. capability because space to expand at Long Beach simply wasn’t available. So far, more than 65 percent of the Long Beach workforce has accepted an offer to move to Mesa, according to Cessna.

Comlux America, a newly created subsidiary of Comlux The Aviation Group, has purchased Indianapolis Jet Center, located at Indianapolis International Airport in Indiana. Plans call for renaming Indianapolis Jet Center Comlux Completion USA and focusing on VIP completion services.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is adding a center of excellence dedicated to advanced aeronautics and propulsion system research to its College of Engineering in Daytona Beach, Fla. With a $2 million, three-year budget, the center is Embry-Riddle’s contribution to the Florida Center for Advanced Aero-Propulsion (FCAAP) project.
