Fokker Aircraft Services has signed an agreement with Maastricht Aviation Aircraft Services (MAAS) to operate the Fokker paint hangar maintenance facility located at Woensdrecht in the Netherlands. Edwin Schelling, president of Fokker Aircraft Services, said the decision for the MRO to add a paint shop was based on customer feedback.

Vector Aerospace has received Turbomeca’s approval to repair and overhaul civil Arriel 2 engines in North America. The approval opens the company’s market reach to operators of current and future Eurocopters, Sikorskys and AgustaWestlands. According to president and CEO Declan O’Shea, Vector has been a major contributor to the Turbomeca support network and provider of Arriel 1 engine repair and overhaul services for nearly 20 years.
Aviation parts supplier CRS Jet Spares announced plans to expand green initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental impact of its operations. To date the company’s programs have focused on reuse of crates, wood and packing material at its processing and receiving department, efforts that thus far have reduced processing waste by 50 percent. CRS Jet Spares reports its green program makes good business sense.
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified Premier Aircraft’s 50Dash4 upgrade of the Falcon 50. Premier Aircraft is a maintenance and modification provider based in East Alton, Ill., and is jointly owned by Yankee Pacific Aerospace and West Star Aviation.
