Professional Aviation Associates (PAA) has formed an alliance with Masco Service of Southlake, Texas. PAA, an international supplier of Beechcraft King Air, Beech 1900 and Beechjet parts and accessories, also offers a comprehensive rotable exchange program and inventory support for Agusta, Bell, Eurocopter, MD and Sikorsky helicopters. Masco is an avionics and instrument repair station specializing in the helicopter industry.

Precision Aviation Group recently acquired supplier Aero Technology.

Atlanta-based Precision Aviation Group (PAG) has acquired Aero Technology of Long Beach, Calif. ATI provides accessories, avionics and instruments to the commercial transport, military and regional airline markets. Located on Long Beach International Airport, ATI operates out of a 25,000-sq-ft facility, employs 38 people including 18 technicians and holds FAA, EASA and airline certifications.

Pratt & Whitney Canada and China Aviation Engine Holdings (Avic Engine Holdings) have announced a new joint venture to be located in Zhuzhou, Province of Hunan, People’s Republic of China. The new MRO will be called Zhuzhou Tonghui Aero Engine Maintenance Company (AEMC) and will provide in-country maintenance, repair and overhaul for civil-certified PT6A and PW100-series engines.

Phoenix Heliparts is seeking an STC to install Aspen’s H-series PFDs and MFDs

Phoenix Heliparts and Aspen Avionics, manufacturer of the Evolution flight display system, are preparing to receive an FAA supplemental type certificate for the installation of Aspen’s H-series primary flight displays (PFD) and multifunction flight displays (MFD) in the MD500. Aspen’s H-series PFD and MFD systems are designed and manufactured specifically for the helicopter operational environment.

The FAA has proposed a $2.425 million civil penalty against Cessna Aircraft following the in-flight separation of portions of skin on the wing of a Corvalis piston single.
