Former NetJets executive v-p and Executive Jet Management president and CEO Benjamin Murray has joined private aviation provider XOJet as its new president.

Brad Hatt, formerly v-p of sales at Hawker Beechcraft, has been named president of Consolidated Holdings Group. He will oversee several of the group’s businesses, including Wichita Air Services.

The FAA approved increasing the mtow at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona
to 100,000 pounds, according to NBAA, which worked with the Arizona Business Aviation Association and the local community to secure the approval. The Scottsdale City Council raised the previous limit of 75,000 pounds to 100,000 pounds late last year.

The city of Bridgeport, Conn., received court approval to buy an acre
of land next to Sikorsky Memorial Airport and plans to build an engineered materials arresting system (Emas) safety area for Runway 6/24. According to NBAA, “The addition of an Emas runway safety area at BDR has been a source of conflict for nearly a decade because the airport is owned by Bridgeport but located in Stratford.”
