Membership of the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) is growing as the group’s new leadership team takes steps to expand its operations. According to AsBAA chairman Jean-Noel Robert, 10 new member companies have joined the Hong Kong-based group in recent weeks.

Bombardier expects to complete all the so-called data sets for the C Series airliner by year-end, as the Canadian company continues its deliberate march toward a second-half 2012 first flight of the 100- to 125-seat CS100.
First announced at the 1996 NBAA Convention, the super-midsize Hawker Horizon, the company’s 60-percent composite construction business jet, made its first flight on Aug 11, 2001. It received its FAA type certificate just over five years later, on Nov. 21, 2006, with a new name too, the Hawker 4000.
Tony Bailey has been promoted to CEO of Indianapolis-based Comlux Aviation Services. Most recently he was the jet maintenance provider’s v-p of operations.
Avfuel announced that the Eurojet FBO currently under construction at the UK’s Birmingham Airport near London will become one of its branded dealers. The new 41,000-sq-ft location, scheduled to open next month in advance of the 2012 London Summer Olympics, will feature a maintenance facility, hangars and aircraft sales office along with the FBO.
Hawker Beechcraft is offering installation of Max-Viz EVS-1500 infrared enhanced vision systems (EVS) for the Hawker 750, 800, 850 and 900 series.
