Bahrain-based Bexair has launched a new company called Aventura Air Center to “own, operate and manage its FBO in Bahrain and expand FBO operations throughout the Middle East and other parts of the world,” according to Bexair. While Aventura will run the FBO, including aircraft handling and fueling at Bahrain, Bexair will remain a charter company.

Hawthorne TTN Holdings has agreed to purchase assets of Ronson Aviation at Trenton-Mercer Airport in Trenton, N.J. The agreed price for the assets is $9.5 million, which includes $500,000 held in escrow for 15 months to secure indemnification obligations. The Ronson Aviation assets include FBO facilities, hangars and maintenance and avionics shops.

Flight planning and trip-handling company Air Routing has released a fuel stop analyzer as part of its new online Trip Quotes service. Customers can use Trip Quotes to “determine Air Routing arrangement fees, international third-party charges and estimated fuel costs before planning a trip,” according to the company. With the fuel stop analyzer, pilots and dispatchers can evaluate tech stops along a great-circle route and compare fuel prices.

Privately owned Houston Executive Airport in Texas has experienced enough demand to justify building a new 23,400-sq-ft corporate hangar. The airport, built by developer Ron Henriksen, features a 6,610- foot runway that has already been lengthened once. Plans call for further extending the runway to 7,604 feet. The new hangar will fit up to 20 aircraft.

Oregon’s legislature voted to honor Columbia Helicopters founder and chairman Wes Lematta by renaming Aurora Airport Wes Lematta Field at the Aurora State Airport.

Loyd’s Aviation at Meadows Field Airport in Bakersfield, Calif., celebrated the grand opening of its new FBO location and introduced a new name, Bakersfield Jet Center by Loyd’s Aviation. The Avfuel-branded FBO’s renovation includes a remodeled 3.5-acre ramp and a new 5,000-sq-ft FBO terminal with a Spanish-style lobby, complimentary specialty beverage service, new flight-planning room and on-site travel service.
