Piaggio America recently moved its North American headquarters into the Jet Aviation facility overlooking the ramp at West Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), Fla. According to Piaggio America president Tom Appleton, the company moved to PBI from its Greenville, S.C. facility in response to recent company growth. The move increased office-space capacity by more than 30 percent and also has made more hangar space available.

To borrow the term “caveat emptor” (Latin for “let the buyer beware”) and mangle it only a bit, flight crews of aircraft that require two pilots should be aware that in some countries both of those pilots need to be type rated in that particular airplane.

A source close to Mercury Air Group’s top-level management team has told AIN that the sale of the company’s FBO division, Mercury Air Centers, has been delayed. Originally expected to close at the end of January, the deal with Washington, D.C.-based business development firm Allied Capital remains in the due-diligence phase and is now expected to close about the middle of next month.
