The San Diego area now has a Pratt & Whitney Canada service center on the McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, Calif., thanks to Jet Source.

As an authorized P&W service center, the MRO will provide overhaul and repair services, and supply components for engines manufactured by Pratt & Whitney Canada. From specialized repair plans to minimal aircraft downtime, Jet Source will provide full engine service and support.

Customers in Southern California now have another option for their Pratt & Whitney Canada overhaul and repair services. Carlsbad, Calif.-based Jet Source, based at McClellan-Palomar Airport, is now able to service and supply components for engines manufactured by Pratt & Whitney Canada.

A toll-free number has been implemented by Landmark Aviation/Standard Aero for its Mobile Service Team (MST) network. MST is a national network of MRO field-service engineers who offer on-site consultation, line and on-wing troubleshooting and repair services for business aircraft operators. Ameco Beijing held a cornerstone-laying ceremony for the expansion project of its Ameco Aviation College (AAC). Ameco Beijing CEO Chia Weixi and general manager Andreas Meisel were on hand, as were leaders from CAAC, Air China, construction and quality supervision companies.

Under the terms of an agreement signed by Midcoast Aviation, the company will be the Western Hemisphere’s exclusive repair center for warranty and non-warranty repair of Stork Fokker-manufactured structures on the Falcon 7X. Stork Fokker designs and builds the ailerons, flaps, spoilers and related wing fairings composed of metallic and composite structures. Midcoast is also a Dassault Falcon authorized service center.

Grey Owl Aviation Consultants has joined forces with Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Jet Repair Anywhere (JRA) to increase aviation safety awareness.

According to the companies’ agreement, any repair station that signs up for JRA’s Wrench program is eligible for a 20-percent discount on Grey Owl’s regular $560-per-person rate for a two-day workshop: “Human Factors for Aviation Managers and Technicians.”
