Dassault Falcon’s FBO at New Castle Airport in Wilmington, Del., is now a Phillips 66 Aviation fuel dealer. In addition to FBO services, the Falcon facility at Wilmington is a heavy maintenance factory-owned Falcon service center offering maintenance, structural repair, AOG, avionics, engine, interior and paint services. The Dassault FBO is participating in the Phillips 66 WingPoints rewards program.

The Hiller Group-Chevron network has added seven more SheltAir Aviation Services FBOs to its portfolio. Including these locations, the Hiller Group will now supply fuel to 10 SheltAir facilities in the U.S. The recently added SheltAir FBOs are located at Daytona Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Panama City, St. Petersburg-Clearwater and Jacksonville, Fla.; La Guardia, New York; and Savannah, Ga.

World Fuel Services has agreed to acquire Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Western Petroleum, including its branded aviation fuel distribution business, for $95 million. The $95 million purchase price could be increased by up to $20 million if Western’s net assets exceed an agreed target at completion of the deal, which is expected this month.

Palm Springs, Calif.-based Desert Jet is promoting charter quotes via its Facebook page, and the company claims that this is the first air charter quoting program accessible from a social media platform. “This quoting tool provides quick and easy access via Facebook to instant charter quotes for Desert Jet’s entire charter fleet, as well as the ability to request a reservation with a click of the mouse,” the company said.

Looking for information on the FAA’s OpSpecs Web site? As of August 31, the FAA shut down www.opspecs.com and moved all of that material to other Web sites. MMELs used to be hosted on the OpSpecs site, but now these are available at the Flight Standards Information Management System (http://fsims.faa.gov/).

JetFlite International’s Long Beach Air Center has been rebranded under the JetFlite name. The facility’s three buildings include 20,000 sq ft of office space and 41,000 sq ft of hangar space, and ample parking is available on the 50,000-sq-ft ramp.

South River Aviation recently purchased assets of the former Sonoma Jet Center at Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport in Northern California. South River is retaining the FBO’s name, and general manager John Bridi and the 14 full- and part-time employees are staying on board. South River’s Joshua and Julia Hochberg are planning to expand Sonoma Jet Center’s maintenance business and upgrade the appearance of the FBO.

The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority is embarking on a plan to build at Lovell Field Airport a new FBO that will be managed by an independent third party. Requests for proposal for those interested in operating the FBO will be posted on October 1. Construction of the new facility should be completed by mid-2011.

Tooele County-Wendover Airport in Utah is now part of the Avfuel network. The airport is the jumping-off point for visitors to the popular Bonneville Salt Flats and features a World War II bomber museum housed in the renovated Army Air Force base hangars.
