Abdulaziz A. Al Rowaished, president and CEO of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia-based Aviation Link, is no stranger to Middle East owners and operators. He and his company have helped many clients through the difficult process of buying a private aircraft. Recently, he played good shepherd to a Gulfstream G550 buyer, whose airplane is now being operated by NetJets Middle East on behalf of the owner.

Jet Aviation’s new Paris Le Bourget facility, which recently received EASA Part 145 line station approval, was appointed a Bombardier AOG (aircraft on the ground) line maintenance facility. The appointment covers line maintenance and AOG support for all Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global business jets.

The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) may advise its members to pull out of the European Union’s emissions trading scheme if Eurocontrol does not develop the EU-ETS support facility. This system would give business aviation operators a relatively cost-effective way to meet the requirement to monitor, report and verify the carbon emissions of their aircraft.

Aircraft cabin furniture supplier JCB Aero (Booth No. 1029) is planning to become a full-blown refurbishing center in the coming months. Almost 100,000 sq ft of new hangar, production facility and offices are being built at JCB’s Auch headquarters in southwest France. A $15 million investment, they are supposed to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year.

Action Aviation and SJ30 manufacturer Emivest Aerospace have announced that the SJ30 light jet is now available in an air-ambulance configuration. Better known for its executive/VIP role, the medevac version of the light twinjet will be a “quick fit” option provided by medical-interiors specialist Lifeport.

Hawker Beechcraft is exhibiting its new King Air C90GTx in the EBACE static park for the first time. The aircraft on display recently completed a demonstration tour of the eastern U.S. showing off its increased performance and efficiency. The company has delivered the first customer aircraft to Pedro Zeballos of Panama.
