The manufacturer also announced flight training programs for European and U.S. customers. Grob Aerospace offers owners of the SPn a choice between three levels of protection to assure predictable and consistent cost based on fixed rates per flight hour.

Jetalliance Group of Vienna has ordered an additional CFM-56 powered Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) with a VIP cabin, along with two A318 Elites, to add to its existing fleet of more than 30 aircraft with an average age of only three years. Jetalliance’s aircraft are operated by its subsidiary, Jetalliance Flugbetrieb.
Rockwell Collins announced that Denny Helgeson, its long-time vice president and general manager for business and regional systems, is retiring this fall. Greg Irmen, an 11-year company veteran, has been appointed as Helgeson’s successor, effective immediately.
AgustaWestland and Italian-based helicopter operator Alitalica have signed an agreement to establish “the first helicopter hub in Italy” at Rome Urbe downtown airport. AgustaWestland will be in charge of the maintenance center and will therefore build new hangars. Meanwhile, Alitalica will set up a FBO, offer passenger transport and market corporate helicopter management services.
Cambridge, UK-based Marshall Executive Aviation (MEA) (Booth Nos. 685/785) has added the first of three Cessna Citation XLS aircraft to its new charter operation. For the first time Europe has its own simulator capacity for the Global Express, now that CAE and Bombardier have begun offering pilot and technical training on the big business jets at CAE’s Burgess Hill facility in the UK. The program marks the first operational milestone of the 20-year Authorized Training Provider agreement signed by CAE and Bombardier last June.
Jet Aviation’s aircraft management and charter division has announced it has been awarded the EASA Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) Plus certificate by EASA. This will allow the company to perform annual airworthiness reviews for both its managed fleet and for aircraft of other private operators. EU-registered aircraft with takeoff weights exceeding 5.7 tons are required to be managed by CAMO effective Sept.
