Embraer believes that the new Lineage 1000 business jet may well find a significant market in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) sales region. For example, while the ultra-large category accounts for 2 percent of the world’s business jet deliveries, it represents 6 percent of the deliveries in the EMEA region.

TAG Aviation has inaugurated a business aviation terminal that is arguably the finest in Europe. The new building at the London-area Farnborough Airport was officially opened yesterday by Britain’s Prince Andrew in a ceremony attended by many top industry executives en route to the EBACE show here in Geneva.
Embraer is breaking into the business jet big league with the launch here at the EBACE show today of the new Lineage 1000 jet derived from its 190 regional airliner. The development of the $40.95 million large-cabin model was approved by the airframer’s board of directors last week on April 25 and the aircraft is expected to enter service during 2008.
Jet Aviation yesterday announced the introduction of its Skylliance charter program that it hopes will eventually expand into a wide network of charter operators adhering to safety and service standards it has defined.
