Eurocopter released details late in April about the development of the seven-metric-ton-class EC175 twin, confirming plans for type certification this year but clarifying that a complementary certification for the offshore oil-and-gas configuration is expected by the middle of next year. This configuration has features such as emergency flotation gear, life rafts, radio navigation system and dual FMS, Tcas II and air conditioning.

Officials in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, are considering selling the naming rights to Pittsburgh International Airport in a possible effort to raise money for the county-owned airport. According to the FAA, as the sponsoring organization the county is permitted to do so, but renaming the airport will require the additional approval of the independent Allegheny County Airport Authority, which has operated the facility since 1999.

In Morgantown, W.Va., Morgantown Municipal Airport (MGW) operates the recently remodeled FBO, which provides ground services, aircraft ground handling, fuel and oil sales, hangar and tie-down space and pilot planning services.
