Revenues at Berkshire Hathaway’s “other services” segment–which includes fractional jet provider NetJets and flight-training company FlightSafety International–climbed by $770 million (up 12 percent year-over-year), to $7.4 billion, according to the company’s 2010 financial results, released on Saturday.

Cirrus Aircraft president and CEO Brent Wouters announced yesterday morning that China Aviation Industry General Aircraft (Caiga) has signed an agreement to purchase 100 percent of Cirrus Aircraft from the several hundred shareholders that own the Duluth, Minn.-based light aircraft manufacturer.
A new would-be helicopter manufacturer, Marenco Swisshelicopter, will introduce its SKYe SH09 light single next week in Orlando, Fla., at Heli-Expo next week. Powered by a Fadec-controlled Honeywell HTS900 turboshaft, the newcomer will be shown as a full-size mockup at the show. The first prototype is being built near Zurich, Switzerland, and first flight is planned for next year.
