Under the terms of an agreement signed by Gulfstream Aerospace and FlightSafety International (FSI), FSI will provide systems training to Gulfstream techs working at any of the 14 authorized maintenance facilities (AMF). Gulfstream will provide AMFs 40 hours of FSI training for one technician per model category for which the facility is authorized.

Lanmar Aviation at Groton-New London Airport in Groton, Conn., has expanded its Part 145 repair station maintenance capability to include an in-house avionics shop that will provide service, support and repair of all major manufacturers. The company offers sales, service and support for all upgrades.
JSSI has been selected by Fly Wings, a Swiss operator, to provide its Tip-to-Tail hourly maintenance cost guarantee program for the company’s new Piaggio Avanti II. Jet Support Services’ program provides hourly airframe maintenance including coverage of the Pratt & Whitney PT6-66 engines.
Dallas Airmotive is adding component repair capability for the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A/T, JT15D and PW300/ PW500 engine series to its Lafayette, La. facility. It already supports numerous offshore operators using the Rolls-Royce 250 engine.
Aerospace Products International (API), a provider of distribution and supply chain services, has been chosen by Flight Options for rotables management. API’s Electronic Supply Program (ESP) will manage Flight Options’ recertification cycle. It will also handle the associated logistics required to manage its life raft and survival equipment inventories.
FlightSafety will now provide its customers direct access to the full array of Global Jet Services professional development maintenance courses, including repair-station training, human factors, customer service, OSHA/EPA and aviation interpersonal maintenance management.
Trend Group has signed a teaming agreement with National Flight Services of Toledo, Ohio, to provide trend monitoring and analysis service for each overhaul and hot-section inspection it performs. Trend Group monitors and analyzes data routinely collected during the cruise phase of flight.
Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) has released NavigatorV Release 6, a desktop viewer offering regulatory and maintenance information in one place. It provides a single point of access to view, search and cross reference all maintenance publications, ADs, SBs, FAA forms and compliance records using ATP’s search and retrieval capabilities. NavigatorV includes EZ Update to allow users to automatically receive downloads to their libraries.
Gulfstream’s Long Beach, Calif., business-jet completions and product support site is now ISO 14001- and OHSAS 18001-compliant. ISO 14001 is earned by companies that are in compliance with international regulatory standards and demonstrate an established and uniform approach to managing their environmental policies and procedures.
Landmark Aviation informed employees in late March of a consolidation of the company’s avionics installation work. It is shifting all installation work from its Los Angeles, Augusta and Houston facilities to its Springfield, Ill. center. The company will continue to offer avionics service support at all of its facilities that have repair centers.
