Bahamian FBO operator Odyssey Aviation plans to open its new permanent facility at Exuma International Airport (MYEF) this month. The company–which also runs an FBO at Nassau International Airport–has operated out of a rented office at MYEF since 2009.

Naples Municipal Airport expects its main runway–5/23, closed since the end of July–to reopen later this month, just in time for the Thanksgiving rush, after a $3.6 million paving project (paid for entirely by the city of Naples airport authority), which saw the runway’s declared takeoff distance increased from 5,000 to 5,800 feet.

Las Vegas, the site of the 64th Annual NBAA Convention and Exhibition, is always a strong draw, and this year’s show was no exception, with 7 percent more attendees registering during the three-day event from October 10 to 12.
