The company has rolled out a new online recurrent international procedures training system, as well as new availability for King Air 200 and Bell 200/400 series helicopter training.
Innotech Aviation has received a supplemental type certificate for its new Sky Berry system that gives business aircraft operators and their passengers a low-cost way to wirelessly receive and transmit data on their PDAs. Sky Berry uses a router provided by International Communications Group. The first system has already been installed on a Hawker 800.
Shell Aviation (Booth No. 3259) is offering a new customer loyalty rewards program for purchasers of Shell-branded aviation gasoline and jet fuel at participating Shell Aviation FBOs around the country. The new Shell AeroClass program allows individuals or organizations to earn points based on fuel purchases, which can be redeemed for MasterCard gift cards.
J.A. Air Center, a Chicago-area FBO, will give away a Garmin GPSMAP 696 here at the NBAA Convention. Attendees can register at the company’s booth (No. 2613) during the show to win the portable navigator, valued at $3,295. J.A. Clay Lacy Aviation (CLA) announced the highest growth in its managed-aircraft fleet this year since its founding more than 40 years ago, adding 14 aircraft during the first three quarters. “Aircraft owners today more than ever are looking to maximize the value of their aviation operations,” CLA president Brian Kirkdoffer said in explaining the uptick.
FlightAware (Booth No.1693), the first company to offer free flight tracking of private and commercial aircraft, has announced its new FBO Toolbox, a Web-based, market-analysis and flight-tracking application. The new toolbox offers FBO managers an in-depth look into the flying habits of both current and potential customers. Elements of the Toolbox are also available on FlightAware’s just-launched iPhone application.
Air Support is making its debut appearance as an NBAA exhibitor this year (Booth No. 4749), marking the company’s first entry into the North American market.
