Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based Aero Toy Store announced Tuesday the grand opening of a Las Vegas sales center, located at McCarran International Airport. The sales and completions company owns FBOs and sales centers in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Montreal, Canada.

Benjamin Murray has a vision for the future of Executive Jet Management (Booth No. 1023). As the newly appointed president and CEO, he would like to see the fleet size double to more than 200 airplanes over the next two years and expand the company to include a high-end boutique Part 91 aircraft management business.
PGA Electronic, based in Montierchaume, France, announced it will deliver its first full digital version of the Paradize 3 cabin management and entertainment system early next year. The new digital system will link all the aircraft’s in-flight entertainment and cabin lighting components, including PGA’s own on-demand audio and video.
NetJets Europe is building carbon-offsetting costs into its fractional ownership prices in a bid to become a carbon-neutral operation by 2012. Beginning October 1, all new clients and existing clients who renew their contracts will purchase carbon credits that cancel out the carbon produced when they take flights. Current customers will be asked to sign up for the program voluntarily as part of their existing contracts.
CMC Electronics (Booth No. 7433) unveiled the third generation of its SureSight enhanced-vision system (EVS) at a press conference on Monday. The CMA-2700 features next-generation digital signal processing, a high-resolution 640- by 512-pixel focal plane array and has level-B certification to DO-178B and DO-254, the highest level yet for an integrated sensor system.
What’s in a name?
If it’s West Star Aviation, it includes the former Premier Air Center at St. Louis Regional Airport (ALN) in East Alton, Ill., and West Star Aviation in Grand Junction, Colo., along with its surplus avionics division in Hiawatha, Iowa. Those entities have been operating as Premier/West Star since December 2004 when Premier Air Center acquired West Star Aviation.
Townsend Leather (Booth No. 8351) recently announced an exclusive agreement to offer 3M Scotchgard Protector treatment for its range of aircraft interior leathers. The Protector treatment prevents soiling and staining, extending the life of the leather while keeping it soft and supple.
Blue skies over the Atlantic may look a little greener over the next few years as the U.S. and European Union member states work together to reduce aviation’s environmental impact.
The second Bell 429 took to the skies on August 31, five months after the first test ship flew last winter. It is one of five that will eventually complete a test program that is expected to amass 1,500 hours in the air before the helicopter’s planned certification and initial customer deliveries next year.
Rosen Aviation said it has received FAA approval for 25 cabin entertainment system components. Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) was obtained for products relating to display systems, the RosenView LX moving map, a single-disc DVD player, various connector kits, arm mounts and harnesses.
