L-3 Display Systems has picked Belgian visualization specialist Barco to provide technology for the panoramic cockpit display which the L-3 Communications division and other team members are developing for the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The contract is potentially worth more than $15 million.

Barco has also been chosen to supply advanced multipurpose control and display units (MCDUs) for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye integrated navigation, controls and displays system. Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems will integrate the MCDUs into the cockpit and rear operator stations of the E-2D.
